HOTmatic
AMP 50-9
AMP 50-9 HFE
The flexible and reliable hotformer for a wide range of parts
The HOTmatic AMP 50-9 is the ideal hotformer for the cost-effective manufacture of forgings with a diameter of up to 108 mm and an output of up to 100 parts per minute.
The HOTmatic AMP 50-9 is ideal for forgings with a high number of pieces, which are predominantly used in the automotive and bear- ing industry for gear wheels for transmission systems, roller bearing rings, etc. A high rate of part dis- charge and short retooling times guarantee optimum machine run- ning times and cost-effective pro- duction. Machine components that are tailored to each other mean that you can always achieve high quality specifications in produc- tion. With the optional HFE equip- ment, the hotformer is able to pro- duce forwards extruded parts with component lengths up to 100 mm.
- Wide range of uses
- Intuitive operation
- Tried-and-tested, efficient cooling system for maximized tool service life
- High availability thanks to short retooling times
- High level of material efficiency thanks to the servo infeed and electronic bar end eliminator (ESA 600)

Precision is the key to top-quality forgings. The machine components are perfectly tailored to each other, meaning that the highest of quality standards can be achieved in production.
Combined with a high level of machine availability, forgings can be manufactured quickly, precisely and cost-effectively.

1. Best cut-off quality for a stable process
The servo infeed and shearing mechanism are perfectly tailored to each other, meaning that the quality of the cut-offs form the perfect basis for the subsequent forming processes. The cut-off quality that this achieves allows you to manufacture precise forgings with the lowest possible use of raw materials. The moni- toring of the cut-off lengths and the targeted elimination of bar transitions via the ESA 600 (electronic bar end eliminator) round off the functions of the AMP 50-9.
2. Safe and reliable transport of parts
The precise transfer unit brings about repeat- able forwarding of parts and exact positioning before the next forming station. Top and bottom grippers reliably and safely grip the parts. Adjustable gripper shoes guarantee a high level of flexibility for different shapes and geome- tries.
3. Short retooling times
User-friendly aids and devices allow the opera- tor to change the tool efficiently and therefore quickly. Clear and concisely structured work instructions guide the operator through the changeover process safely and quickly. The well-thought-out conversion accessories make a significant contribution to improving the tool logistics, as well as a high level of availability.
4. High process reliability
Monitoring options that are perfectly tailored to each other increase the process reliability and create the required transparency in every operating condition via the status of the hot- former. Thanks to its intuitive operator guid- ance, an up-to-date interface facilitates the work on the hotformer. To provide support and for the diagnostics of operating conditions, if required, remote access can be used by a Hatebur specialist to access all of the relevant functions and statuses.
The lateral part discharge is designed for dis- charge of the forgings in a way that is almost free from points of impact. In this way, mea- surements can be reduced and material savings can be implemented.
6. Tool cooling
Low tool costs are the key to the economical production of modern forgings. With the extremely efficient combination of internal and external tool cooling, the forming tools can remain in use for a very long time – this leads to low production costs with increased productivity. For simple forgings, water is used for the cooling, while an additive is added to the water for complex parts.
